PRAYER BEFORE THE CRUCIFIX

BACK TO SAINT PRAYER

1.Jesus is condemned to death.
   Jesus help me to avoid sin and to be
   worthy of my Christian vocation.
2. Jesus, bears his cross.
    Jesus let me suffer for sinners in
    union with you
3. Jesus falls for the 1st time
    Jesus, help me to rise to new life
    through repentance.
4. Jesus meets his mother.
    Jesus may we know Mary's presence
    especially when we are sick.
5. Jesus is helped by Simeon
    Jesus may I help others as Simeon
    helped you.
6. Veronica wipes the face of Jesus
    Jesus let me console and refresh
    those who are in need.
7. Jesus falls for the 2nd time
     Jesus, encourage me to trust in you
     when I fall

8. Jesus speaks to the woman
     Jesus, hear my prayer and comfort
9. Jesus falls for the third time.
     Jesus, strengthen my trust in You
     when I'm tempted by despair.
10. Jesus is stripped of his garments.
     Jesus, enfold me in your love when
     I need you most.
11. Jesus is nailed to the cross
     Jesus, keep me close to You from
     this moment until I die.
12. Jesus dies on the cross.
     Jesus be with me when I die and
     show me your face in heaven.
13. Jesus is taken from the cross.
     Jesus let me bring hope to those
     who mourn
14. Jesus is buried.
     Jesus, I pray for my loved ones who
     have died, may we all be together
     one day at your heavenly banquet.

O HOLY BANQUET
O holy banquet in which Christ is received; the memory of His passion is recalled; the soul is filled with grace; and the promise of the guture glory is given to us. (alleluia)
V. You have given them bread from heaven. (alleluia)
R. Containing in itself all delight (alleluia) God, who is this wonderful sacrament left us a memorial of your passion; we implore you, that we may so venerate the sacred mysteries of your Body and Blood as always to be conscious of the effects of Your redemption. You live and reign forever. Amen.

CONCLUDING PRAYER
Blessed be the holy and Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, We adore You, Christ and praise you because by your holy cross you have redeembed the world. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us

Most High, glorious God, enlighten the darkness of my heart and give me Lord,
A correct faith, a certain hope, a perfect charity, sense and knowledge, so that I may carry Your holy and true command.

THE FRANCISCAN CROWN THE SEVEN JOYS OF MARY

1. The joy of Our Lady at the Annunciation
2. The joy of Our Lady at the Visitation
3. The joy of Our Lady at the Nativity
4. The joy of Our Lady at the Adoration of
     the maji
5. The joy of Our Lady at the finding of the
      Lord in the Temple.
6. The joy of Our Lady at meeting Jesus
     after his resurrection.
7. The joy of Our Lady at her Assumption
     and Coranation.
HOW TO PRAY THE FRANCISCAN CROWN
Begin with the Sign of the Cross, each decade highlighting one of Mary's Joys, begin with the Our Father, and is followed by 10 Hail Mary's Two Hail Mary's are added after the 7th decade to make a total of 72, honoring the tradional belief of Mary's years on earth.
In Conclusion an Our Father, a Hail Mary, are also recited for the intention of the Holy Father.

Lord make me an instrument of Your Peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light
Where there is sadness, joy

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console
to be understood, as to understand
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive
it is in pardoning, we are pardoned.
and it is in dying that we are born to iternal life. AMEN

Most high, all-powerful good Lord.
Yours are the praises, the glory, the honor and all blessing.
To You alone, Most High, do they belong and no one is worthy to mention Your name.
Praise be You, my Lord, with all your creatures, especially Sir Brother Sun, who is the day through whom You give us light.
And he is beautiful and radiant with great splendor; and bears a likeness to You, Most High One.
Praise be You, O Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars, in heaven you formed them clear and precious and beautiful.
Praise be You, my Lord, through Brother Wind, and through the air, cloudy and serene, and every kind of weather through which You give sustenance to Your creatures.
Praise be You, my Lord, through Sister Water, which is very useful and humble and precious and chaste.
Praise be You, my Lord, through Brother Fire, through whom You light the night and he is beautiful and playful and robust and strong.
Praise be You, my Lord, through Sister Mother Earth, who sustains and governs us, and who produces varied fruits and colored flowers and herbs.
Praise be You, my Lord, through those who give pardon for Your love and bear imfirmity and tribulation. Blessed are those who endure peace, for by You, Most High, they shall be crowned.
Praise be You, my Lord, through our SIster Bodily Death, from whom no living person can escape.
Woe to those who die in mortal sin.
Blessed are those who death will find in Your most holy will, for the second death shall do them no harm.
Praise and bless my Lord and give Him thanks and serve Him with great humility.
