Letter to Parish
Dear  Follower of Jesus,

Welcome to Catholic Design. God Bless you for reading this letter. What is Catholic Design? Basically all it is:
(1) a website designed for anyone looking to increase their faith, teach their faith, or find answers about their faith.
(2) a website designed to show you a “fun filled” way to do just that. Through games and tools designed to help you do just that.
Why? Because I believe that if you can “catch” a child now while they are young to get hooked on Jesus they will become tomorrow’s followers of Jesus. In today’s society children are exposed to many different ways to experience life. Why not give them resources that are fun and challenging enough to get them hooked on Jesus. This website will show you how to do that.
First there are many games and tools that have been developed with your faith in mind including board games, computer games, and card games.
Some of these can be used right along with your classroom’s itinerary. Including Walk in Faith, Walk with Mary, Catholic ABC’s, CCD Jeopardy, and Faith
Walk with Mary, Catholic ABC’s, CCD Jeopardy, and Faith Squares. These games can also be used with retreats, RCIA, RCIC or just for fun. Example: A challenging game of CCD Jeopardy or Faith Squares between classrooms in the same grade.
Other games that teach about faith or values of Christian living like Champions of Faith, Salvation Challenge, Bible Man, Exodus of Egypt and more for board games. Computer games including Bible Champions I & II, Bible Wonders, Bible Adventures, and Parables of Jesus. Card Games including ARK and 2 by 2.  More information about these games is included in this newsletter and on the website.
Secondly, this website also contains much information about the Catholic Faith. Including Seasons of the Church (Advent to Christmas and Lent to Easter) with explanations including information about each season and symbols of the seasons and their meanings. Information on  Church & Sacraments including the Mass, Precepts, Commandments,
Virtues, Beatitudes, and Sins. Jesus and Mary –including the Rite of the Eucharist, Feast days, Devotions to the Sacred Heart, Vist to the Blessed
Sacrament, Visionaries, Songs of Mary, Rosary -how to recite, prayers of, history of, roses of, promises of, Titles of Mary. Information on the Holy Trinity and prayers to. Prayers- including prayers to Jesus, Mary and the Holy Trinity,  for the sick, Saint prayers, Litanies, Novenas, Chaplets. Even some interesting Jokes, Stories, Poems and lyrics to Songs including Bill Gates meets his programmer, Noah gets a permit, Dear Lord, Daddy’s Little Chair, The Story behind Rudolph, Mary had a little Lamb, Our Lady’s Gift of Love,
Eucharist, Dear Children (a letter from Jesus), and others that this author wrote personally – Tiptoeing to Mary, Doing His Will, Remember God in Good Times too.
I decided to simply write each of you and ask only that you view the website and let the Holy Spirit guide you. If you want more information you can simply write me, there is even a link right on the website. If not, thank you for taking the time to read this. May the Lord’s Peace be with you, and bless you. AMEN

Board Games for the classroom/retreats and other functions
Walk in Faith
Child Version is made up of 5 sections  known as “pathways” and each space is a path.  The Child’s version pathways are named after parts of the Bible. The Garden of Eden, Enter the Ark, Across the Sea, In the Manger, and At the Cross
. In the game players move around the board landing on paths, in order to own them they must answer a question.
These questions are right out of classroom books, or can been developed by teachers, retreat masters, or anyone wanting to play the game. The players receive points for the correct answer. When another player lands on an occupied path they must answer a question if correct then the original owner must answer a question to keep the path. Once the player has all the paths in a pathway no one can take properties from them. There are also special paths “Graces” and “Blessings” where players get extra points and a space called Limbo where they just loose a turn.

Walk in Faith
Teen/Adult version is played the same way except there are 8 pathways names after the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the word Confirmation. There are also paths called “Graces” and “Blessings” which players receive extra points. Also, spaces called “Go to Purgatory” where a player moves to Purgatory and looses a turn.

Walk with Mary
Played like Walk In Faith but these questions pertain to Mary and the spaces are “beads” of a rosary. Instead of getting points the players make their own ROSARY…
