PRAYER IN THE TIME OF SICKNESS
O Jesus, You suffered and died for us;
You understand suffering;
Teach me to understand my suffering as You do; To bear it in union with You; To offer it with You to atone for my sins and to bring Your grace to sould in need.
Calm my fears, increase my trust.
May I gladly accept Your holy will and become more like You in trial.
If it be Your will, restore me to health so that  I may work for Your honor and glory and the salvation of all men AMEN
Mary, help of the sick, pray for me.
PRAYER FOR THE ADDICTED
God of Mercy, we bless you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who came to him. Give your strength to (name the person) one of your children, enfold him/her in your love and restore him/her to the freedom of God's children.
Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost thier health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, strengthen them in the work of recovery, and help them to resist all temptation.
To those who care for them, grant pleasure and understanding and above that perseveres. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen
PRAYER FOR THE DYING
Most merciful Jesus, lover of souls, I pray YOu by the agony of Your most Sacred Heart, and by the sorrows of Your Immaculate Mother, to wash in Your most Precious Blood, the sinners of the world who are now in their agony, and who will die today. Heart of Jesus, once in agony, have mercy on the dying. Amen.
PRAYER IN A TIME OF SUFFERING
Behold me, my beloved Jesus, weighed down under the burden of my trials and sufferings, I cast myself at Your feet, that you may renew my strength and my courage, while I rest here in Your presence. Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart , for only Your infinite goodness can sustain me; only Your love can help me bear my cross; only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight. O Divine King, Jesus, whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted, I wish to live in You; suffer and die in You. During my life be to me my model and my support; at the hour of my death, be my hope and my refuge. AMEN
PRAYER FOR THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED
God creator, and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of your servants and handmaids the forgiveness of all their sins. Through our devout prayers may they obtain the pardon which they have always desired. We ask this through Christ OUr Lord. AMEN
LOrd hear my prayers; in your mercy, bring us your servant(s) (Names) whom you have summoned from this world. Call him/her to be numbered in the fellowship of your saints. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN
PSALM 23
The lord is my shepherd I shall not want
He makes me lye down in green pastures
By restful waters he leads me
He refreshes my soul
He guides me on the path of righteousness
for his names sake
Even though I walk through the valley of death, I fear no evil, for He is at my side.
His rod and His staff they comfort me
You spread a table before me, in the presence of my enemies.
His cup runneth over, only goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever AMEN
PRAYER FOR THE SICK
Lord Jesus, who went about doing good and healing all, we ask you to bless Your friends who are sick. Give them the strength in body, courage in spirit, and patience in pain. Give them their health, so that, restored to the Christian community, they may joyfully praise your name, for you live and reign for ever and ever. AMEN
PRAYER IN A TIME OF SORROW
Father of all mercies and God of consolation, you love us eternally and transform the shadows of death into the dawn of life. Look upon our grief; be our refuge and confort so that our sadness and sorry may turn into the light and peace of your presence. In dying, Your Son destroyed death; in rising, he restored life. Grant that at the end of our earthly pilgrimages we may be found in his company with our brothers and sisters. There, you shall wipe away ever tear. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
